Capcom Announces Closure Of Flagship

Capcom has confirmed that it will be closing its subsidiary studios Flagship, as the publisher and developer continues to focus on streamlining its operations.Established in 1997, Flagship are perhaps best known for working on most of the company’s portable outings, including collaborating with Nintendo for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, A Link To The Past and Four Sword for Gameboy Advance. Other works include Gameboy Zelda titles Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages.In addition to this, Flagship are also noted for their work on scenarios for Capcom’s Resident Evil titles including Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil: Zero. Its most recent offering was the Nintendo DS title, Kirby Squeak Squad. No redundancies have been made, and, as reported by Gamespot, all staff will simply be moved into Capcom itself.

We're a generation of 'softies'

It especially struck a chord as Manchester United and Chelsea limped through the FA Cup final like over-burdened sherpas ascending a particularly tricky bit of Everest. He said we'd all gone soft.

Now, whether we should take advice on this from someone once described as being strong enough to throw a fridge to Pluto is open to question. How much academic social analysis does it take to tear a London phone book in half or twist inch-thick steel bars into pretzels? But, on the grounds that he was, for years, Britain's shot-put champion as well as a Cambridgeshire policeman weighing 23st of sheer muscle in his prime, one does not want to put up much of an argument. Clearly he was never going to have much truck with softies. He laments the passing of the days, as he said: "When men were men and sheep were nervous".

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Wii) Preview

As we all know, there are thousands of Harry Potter lovers that would die for the chance to be like him. Well if Electronic Arts has their way, all those fans may finally get the opportunity to don the robe and wand and become Harry (no pun intended) himself. At EA's Summer Preview this past Wednesday, we were given a sneak peek at what we can expect from the newest installment of the Harry Potter franchise. For starters, the game will only feature a single player mode so there won't be any kind of co-op or multiplayer mini-games. The game will be relatively long as players will have the main story to deal with as well as side quests along the way. The story will take place mainly inside the Hogwartz castle but rather than having a linear style of play, Order of the Phoenix will allow players to explore and play the game in any order they choose.
