Peter Molyneux Becomes Dr. Phil, Talks About Importance of Love

Who knew that the psychology of love was so important to Peter Molyneux and his team at Microsoft-owned Lionhead Studios? The Fable 2 developer is offering video diaries to gamers both on its website and through Xbox Live. In the first episode, Molyneux discusses the importance of love and how that's expressed through the player's dog.

Episode One of an ongoing series has gone live today and is available at www.lionhead.com and via the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The episodes will follow the progress of Fable 2 and allow viewers to get to know members of the team working on the game including Peter Molyneux.

Microsoft says that the diaries will also answer questions have been asking such as "What is the deal with the dog?", "How do you show unconditional love in a video game?", "How does the new combat system work?" and "What is it really like to work at Lionhead?" .

Episode One of the "Lionhead video diaries" has debuted on the official Lionhead Studios Website and Live Marketplace, kicking off an ongoing series of video diaries with the Fable 2 game development team, including Peter Molyneux.

The episodes provide a look behind the scenes of the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 Xbox exclusive. Get a sneak peek inside the game, as well as to know the people behind the action.

Being a hero, fighting, questing and adventuring are central to Fable. With the upcoming release of Fable 2, gamers will be one step closer to fulfilling their dreams of being good or evil, getting married or remaining single, and finding out what it means to experience unconditional love in the world of Fable.

Each installment of the video diaries will walk gamers through the development process and will answer questions fans have been dying to know such as, "What is the deal with the dog?", "How do you show unconditional love in a video game?", "How does the new combat system work?" and "What is it really like to work at Lionhead?"

Fable 2 offers even more choices and builds on the core gameplay theme of Fable, where your every choice continually defines who you become, allowing you to live the life you choose.


Lionhead Video Diary for Fable 2 Coming to Xbox Live

Lionhead Video Diaries Document Fable 2 Development

Gamers hungry for hype and information about Lionhead Studio's sequel to the popular Xbox game Fable should be sated soon. Starting today and continuing well.. whenever they post a new segment, Peter Molyneux and the crew behind Fable 2 will be posting videos detailing aspects of the game and production to Xbox Live! and the Lionhead website.

According to the Microsoft press release each video in the series will answer gamer questions about the title and demonstrate the development process and people behind the game. Fable 2 is set 500 years after the original title and is a direct sequel in the sense that it shares the same world that players may find greatly changed from the original yet familiar.

Fable 2 behind-the-scenes videos released

Lionhead Studios has released the first episode of a multipart series of video diaries that will give gamers a glimpse into the development of Peter Molyneux's epic RPG sequel Fable 2. The episodes will be available for free on both the Lionhead Studios Web site and the Xbox Live Marketplace, and the first episode went live on May 24.


Lionhead Diaries Go Behind the Scenes with Fable 2

We've always wondered when Microsoft would start putting their Xbox Live service to use and bring gamers more game-centric video content, and beginning today, Microsoft started publishing episodes of the Lionhead Video Diaries, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Fable 2. The videos will feature voiceovers by none other than Peter Molyneux, head honcho at Lionhead Studios. Each episode will be made available both on Xbox Live and Lionhead's site, where the first episode is already posted.

Molyneux is particularly well-known in the industry for hyping his game's to an intense level. As such, this first ep, recorded in March 2007 and focusing on "Emotion in Action Games," does feature a bit of the classic Molyneux enthusiasm. "You feeling loved is really important to us," Molyneux says, while quick clips of a beautiful-looking Fable 2 flash on TV screens in the background.
