First Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Footage Up

The Japanese site for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has an embedded video preview of the upcoming Wii title. The trailer features a sample of the game music and offers a look at a decidedly more "mature-looking" Crystal Chronicles. The main character appears to be a young blonde man and there are airships galore in the scenes. Combat and other graphics have a soft feel to them and avoid the dull browns and reds that were common in Final Fantasy XII. Check out the video at this link and to start the video just click on the image.

19:50 Scans of Final Fantasy exclusive on Wii, plus new info (0)

Not much has been revealed about Square Enix's exclusive Wii RPG Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, other than a very early short video clip when the Wii was revealed. Now, though, some more details have arrived as well a scans.

Already being hailed as one of the most anticipated games for Nintendo's new home console, the Square Enix-developed 'The Crystal Bearers', had its lid lifted ever so slightly recently as the company spoke to GamesRadar at its Square Enix Party 2007 last week, with Executive Producer Akitoshi Kawazu and Director Toshiyuki Itahana discussing various aspects of the role-playing game.

First of all, they quickly pointed out that the Wii's unique controller has allowed for the team to implement extremely smooth movement of the characters and let players pull off impressive attacking moves as well.

Interviews on Final Fantasy's Nintendo DS, Wii Assault

However, since the interviews were held in a roundtable, round-robin style, we had to share oxygen with editors from competing websites who would whittle away our precious few minutes with vague drivel like "So, what do you see in the future of Final Fantasy?" To help cut the wheat from the chaff, though, we liberated our inquiries from the roundtable hellhole in which they were born, and collected them here for your perusal.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (DS) and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Wii) The Interviewees:
Toshiyuki Itahana, director for FF CC: The Crystal Bearers, and character designer for the original Crystal Chronicles, The Crystal Bearers, and Ring of Fates. Mitsuru Kamiyama, director of Ring of Fates.

1UP: Is Crystal Bearers the first game you've directed and what kind of plans do you have for the title?

Toshiyuki Itahana: Actually the first title I directed was Code Age: Commanders, which was not released in the States.

Final Fantasy Chronicles A New Trailer For Wii

People have complained since the Wiis inception into the next-gen race, that the graphics/visuals for the games arent all that great with the exception of Twilight Princess, of course. But once you see the new Final Fantasy for the Wii, you might think twice about the Wiis graphical power.

Before you get your knickers in a bunch and you let the drool hit the floor, you might want to calm down a bit and take a breather; this game is not coming to North American shores just yet. The trailer is for the Japanese Final Fantasy, which is set to be an exclusive for the Wii. Like many of the other Nintendo-exclusive Crystal Chronicle games, this one will have gamers embarking on a quest unlike its PS3 (and soon Xbox 360) counterparts.

Visually the game is rather stunning.
