Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Gold Edition for the Xbox 360

Activision, Inc. just announced the release of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Gold Edition. The title is for the Xbox 360â„¢ system from Microsoft. This is probably why I noticed the $10 price drop today at Target stores on the original game. The gold edition is a remastered version of the original and features 8 new playable characters. The characters include: The Incredible Hulk, Magneto, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Venom. These characters were previously only available via download on Xbox Live.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Gold Edition is now available for the Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft for a suggested retail price of $59.99 and is rated “T" (Teen" Mild Language, Violence) by the ESRB.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance—Gold Edition

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an all-new action/RPG that features the largest roster of comic book characters ever seen in a video game. Players assume the roles of more than 20 Marvel Super Heroes including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Captain America, and through their actions determine the fate of both planet Earth and the Marvel universe—revealed in one of multiple epilogues. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance features a deep, rich gameplay experience by offering total team customization, where players create their own team name, icon and vehicle, as well as establish their team reputation as they play throughout the story. Gamers also have the option to level up each character individually to their liking, or all team members at the same time to keep their heroes balanced. The Xbox 360 Gold Edition features all 8 downloadable characters.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition For Xbox 360

After the recent release of the Xbox Live downloadable content for Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Activision has taken things to the next step by allowing non-Xbox Live users to purchase the content in a Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold edition. This re-release of the popular super-hero adventure game will be making an appearance on retail shelves with a new look.

The eight downloadable characters complete with story missions, voices and special abilities has become popular enough to warrant Activision with only one resolve: re-release the game to the general public, new heroes included. Some of these villains and icons include The Incredible Hulk, Magneto, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Venom.

This special edition of Marvel Ultimate Alliance be available exclusive for the Xbox 360 (yet again PS3 owners get trumped) for the original retail price of $59.99.

New Info Surfaces on Next-Gen Wolfenstein

WISC-TV, a local Madison news channel ran a story this past Friday about Raven Software, which is located in this Wisconsin city. This proficient developer is known for titles such as Quake 4, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, X-Men Legends, Soldier of Fortune, among other games. WISC-TV has revealed that the studio is currently working on the next-generation Wolfenstein game. The company is currently working on a new game based on the "Wolfenstein" series, and with newer motion-capture technology, it is working with a local actress to be the character in its movie. Actress Carrie Coon is put in a spandex suit that has 63 reflective markers at strategic places on her body. Twenty-four infrared cameras in Raven's studios track Coon's every move as she replicates movements that her character will perform in the game.

Spider-Man 3 (Wii) Review

For about two weeks, all I could think about was Spider-Man 3. The game and the movie have both flooded my thoughts for the past two weeks. Honestly I was more excited for the game then the movie. Even when I was in the movie, all I could think about was going to the mall to get the game afterwards. Spider-Man 2 (the game) set a standard for movie games that would be difficult for any franchise to live up to, but one cant help but to expect the same excellence from the sequel. Spider-Man 3 is the (you guessed it) third installment of the Spider-Man movie franchise. It continues the story of Peter Parker who was bitten by a radio-active spider in high school which bestowed upon him the abilities of a spider. Once a social outcast, both Peter and Spider-Man have found acceptance in the people of New York in the third film.

Local Company Takes Video Games To Next Level

MIDDLETON, Wis. -- Video gaming is a fast-growing industry with even faster-moving technology that has become more popular with the advent of "next-generation" gaming systems that can use almost film-realistic environments.

A Middleton company is on the cutting edge of video gaming's future with the technology it's been using to create new games.

Raven Software is one workplace where you can say the employees are literally playing games all day. However, the ones that they're creating usually end up flying off the shelves and into game consoles like the XBox 360 or the PlayStation 3. The technology that they're using to make these games is at the cutting edge of the "next-gen" revolution, WISC-TV reported.

The company is currently working on a new game based on the "Wolfenstein" series, and with newer motion-capture technology, it is working with a local actress to be the character in its movie.
