Wii Renovation Completed at Nintendo World Store

Located at Rockefeller Center, Nintendo World Store in NYC has completed their renovations and the Wii section is now complete. Customers can get hands-on with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, and Wii Sports in the store's spacious gaming area. Challenge your buddies in the multi-play area, visit the library of Wii games, and more. It looks like a really cool store. The official site is pretty sweet and has some extras that set it apart from the norm.

It sure beats the dark and dank gaming stores I have visited in life that smell of old pizza, feet, and dashed hopes and dreams.

Wii Resident Evil to be budget-priced

Resident Evil 4 was a near-perfect game on the GameCube; it was ported nicely to the PlayStation 2 with enough new content to make a double-dip very tempting, and then it suffered at the hands of a bad PC port. Now it's coming to the Wii, and while the video shows some good use of the Wiimote in this version, I'm just not sure if it's worth another buy. How much money do we have to give Capcom for this game? Apparently they feel our pain, and have decided to release the game for $29.99.

With most Wii games coming out for $50, most 360 and PS3 games being released for $60, and collector's editions costing even more, this is a great price. If you've only played Resident Evil 4 once, this may be a good time to beat the game a second time. Aiming the Wiimote like a gun to blow the head off zombies has to be worth $30, doesn't it?

CVG Most Wanted: Wii

What's this then? The CVG Most Wanted award - that blue spot brandished across this page - recognises those games in development which the CVG editors themselves are most looking forward to playing. The specially trained artist in our crack production laboratory (the bloke in the corner of the office next to the printer) has designed the award to recognise the truly epic and ground-breaking titles - these are the games CVG would be first in the queue for on the morning of release and ones which we'd actually spend our own hard earned dollars on. Any game which receives the CVG Most Wanted Award will have the badge proudly displayed on its game page to advise you of the titles we believe are a sign of true gaming excellence. Today we present the first ten Wii games to receive The CVG Most Wanted award.

Mario Galaxy, Phantom Hourglass & Smash Bros. Coming In 2007

Reggie makes a lot of promises. Before the Nintendo Wii was released, he promised Nintendo had learned from their past mistakes and he promised there would be no drought of Wii games. And now we're experiencing a drought. Then he promised that Nintendo would up the production of Nintendo Wiis so they'd be available in stores. Nintendo Wiis are still hard to find in stores.

Now Reggie is making another promise. During Nintendo's media summit, Reggie promised that Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Super Smash Bros. Brawl would all come out before the end of the year. As much as I would love to believe Reggie, his track record of promising things and those promises coming into fruition are really poor.

If these promises do come true, it could be a great year for Nintendo Wii owners now that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be released this summer.
