WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 Hands-On Preview (Xbox 360)

Whether you love or hate studio wrestling, you've gotta hand it to Vince McMahon for turning the WWE into what it is today. McMahon and Co. went through some rocky times, and we wont even get into the XFL, but they sure did do a number on Bischoff and the WCW during the Nitro/Raw wars. The WWE empire goes well beyond their hit show Raw. In fact, their other TV properties, such as ECW and SmackDown, have huge followings which sometimes eclipse that of the Raw. Being the marketing genius that McMahon is, he often does crossovers with his three main shows, thus leading to some interesting match-ups that the fans have come to love, and in many ways expect.

Chimel's Back Injury, Cyber Sunday, WWE News & Notes

As things stand, WWE won't be returning to Australia until November 2007, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Promoter Paul Dainty feels the WWE is coming to often, and doesn't want to burn out the country. WWE has down strong numbers in the "land down under," but Dainty feels WWE needs to do TV tapings in Australia. WWE has balked at the idea due to increased production costs.

The 10/7 edition of WWE A.M. Raw drew a final 0.9 cable rating with a 3.8 share.

WWE.com has a section up for the Cyber Sunday PPV on November 5. The only match confirmed so far is WWE Champion John Cena vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion King Booker vs. ECW Champion Big Show in a "Champion of Champions" Match.

There is also an article up on WWE.com about the popular NBC show "Deal or No Deal" holding a casting call for future shows with WWE fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on October 15.

20:41 WWE laying the Smackdown on THQ (1)

The WWE are suing both THQ and JAKKS Pacific (publisher and developer of Smackdown vs Raw 2007 respectively). This is because the WWE has accused them both of supplying the game illegally in Japan and other Asian territories. Will the game get delayed? Or even worse, scratched?

The WWE names both THQ and JAKKS Pacific in the suit, and alleges that together they improperly sold video games based on WWE properties in Japan and other Asian territories. The lawsuit asserts that the WWE is entitled to terminate THQ's license and claim monetary damages.
