Of course, none of that's actually true, and what's more, were one to use the Xbox 360 Premium console pack in that chart instead of the Core pack, the total would be $399 for a console with that very same hard drive, wireless controller, and Xbox Live Silver subscription (which provides access to everything but multiplayer) -- remember, kids, an HD DVD drive is not required to do anything but watch high def movies -- it has nothing to do with high def gaming.

And you all tried to tell me 1200 MP was going to buy the full game. It turns out that previous reports were correct; you will buy the game itself for 1200 MP and additional content packs, which contain Mission, Puzzle, and VS CPU levels and also which are not yet available for more Microsoft Points.

The PS3 can also access files from a PSP and playback a range of formats including MP3, AAC and ATRAC3 up to bit-rates of 352Kbps. The PS3 will also check an online database to retrieve album and track info, auto updating your collection with the correct information.

Sticking on the subject of audio, the report also reveals set-up options to suit your home theatre or lack of.

Xbox 360: You've got your Xbox 360 and some games for it, but you'd really like to try out these arcade games on Xbox Live Arcade you've heard so much about – but you don't have Broadband internet to download them. What do you do?

You could go round to a mate's house, he's got Broadband , or you could get a copy of Xbox Live Unplugged Volume 1 – a compilation of some of Live's arcade games, all on one handy, dandy DVD.

The games are Geometry Wars, Retro Evolved, sort of like asteroids on acid; platformers Wik: Fable of Souls; Outpost Kaloki X, a city builder set in space. Thing Tycoon in space; Bejewelled 2 Deluxe, a puzzle game where you have to form combinations with jewels; Hardwood Backgammon; and Texas Hold 'em, a poker game that is also compatible with the Xbox Live Vision camera which is coming out this month.

Hollywood Poker stops accepting US players

Los Angeles D-Fenders ---> Dan Panaggio can remember the first time he saw the triangle offense, back when he was coaching Quad City in the Continental Basketball Association and watching the Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990s on television. Now Panaggio has a seat next to Tex Winter for every exhibition game and the job of teaching the triangle to a new generation of players as head coach of the D-Fenders, the Lakers' new minor-league affiliate.

The Lakers are the first team to own and operate their own affiliate in the NBA Development League. The D-Fenders will play home games at Staples Center on the same days as the Lakers and will practice at the team's El Segundo facility. They also will run the offense that Phil Jackson helped make famous and Panaggio went on to run with two of his Quad City teams.

Microsoft Xbox Live Vision Camera for Xbox 360

Microsoft's slickly designed Xbox Live Vision for Xbox 360 is a relatively inexpensive, USB Web-cam-style video camera that allows you to video-chat online with other Xbox Live gamers. You can also use the camera to add still images to your text messages and your gamertag picture, not to mention that some upcoming games will allow you to map your face to your in-game player using the camera. We also like the shimmering water effect the camera puts on the background of the Xbox Live menu system, not to mention that when you're in music mode on your Xbox 360, you can play with the visualization with hand gestures. Lastly, the Xbox Live Vision camera can double as a Web cam on your PC or Mac.
