Small arms a huge problem in Iraq, worldwide

Last week marked an unfortunate anniversary: The U.S. presence in Iraq is now longer than U.S. involvement in World War II. A major reason for the length of our stay in Iraq has been the widespread use of large numbers of small arms and light weapons as the primary tool of war. These weapons are devastating in terms of lives lost, but in Iraq, and many other conflict areas, small arms proliferation also has substantially hindered economic recovery.

Small arms and light weapons are the primary weapons of today's conflicts, killing hundreds of thousands of people every year and injuring countless more. But the indirect costs of small-arms violence - opportunities lost because of perpetual violence and crime - affect millions more worldwide. This violence inflicts a heavy economic toll on countries engaged in or emerging from conflict, and these economic losses can impede a country's long-term viability as much as loss of human capital, making small-arms control even more of an imperative.

'Sarkar' sequel not based on 'Godfather 2'

While Sarkar was inspired from Francis Ford Coppolas film Godfather, the movies sequel will be completely original.

Even before comparisons could arise, Ram Gopal Varma has made it clear that Sarkar 2 will have nothing common with Godfather 2 in which actor Al Pacino (as the son) takes over the mafia business after the death of his father (Marlon Brando).

Pierce Brosnan returns in a ˜superspy avatar

Washington, Nov 19: The James Bond franchise may have returned this week without Pierce Brosnan, but it seems the former 007 can't get enough of playing a spy.

The Matador actor is reportedly lined up to star in a new spy franchise called Spy vs. Stu, but unfortunately, it's a comedy.

Keith Mitchell and Allie Dvorin wrote the original script about a guy named Stu who plans to propose to his girlfriend on an island vacation, only to get unexpected competition from a super spy (Brosnan) who just finished saving the world, reports Hollywood Reporter.

The 53-year-old played Bond on four occasions before being replaced by Daniel Craig in new 007 movie Casino Royale.

Bureau Report with ANI inputs.

Difficulty: Medium Learning Curve: From 0 to 15 Minutes

For a character that maybe isn't quite as relevant as he once was, Bomberman has sure had a strange year. Bomberman: Act Zero was released on the Xbox 360, and it's a putrid hunk of trash that's among the worst games released all year. On the other hand, one of greatest Bomberman games ever released has come back courtesy of the Wii's Virtual Console. Bomberman '93 captures a perfect moment in Bomberman history, when the multiplayer was fast and frantic without getting bogged down by rideable dinosaurs or any of the other stuff that came along in later games. That five-player multiplayer holds up great today, making Bomberman '93 one of the best multiplayer games currently available on the system, Virtual Console or otherwise.

Pros
Allows for up to five players to play multiplayerSimple but incredibly effective gameplay
Cons
Single-player is dumbGraphics are a little blurry
