Brothers In Arms Making Its Way To The Wii?

It has been no surprise that the next generation of Brothers In Arms is nothing short of impressive. While its still a ways off from release, every gamer is probably questioning whether Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway is going to make its way to the Wii? Well, with the success of Call of Duty 3, another World War II shooter probably wouldnt be a bad addition to Nintendos lineup.

Utilizing advanced physics (much like Midways Stranglehold), BIA: Hells Highway offers a whole new level of military combat and immersive warfare. So I contacted a representative at Gearbox to see if the developers had a little something cooking in the oven for the Nintendo Wii. Even though I hate to be a buzz-kill, the PR commented that... Currently, Gearbox hasn't announced anything regarding Hell's Highway and the Wii,

Although, given that Ubisoft is a heavy third-party supporter for Wii that doesnt mean there wont be a Brothers In Arms for Nintendos new system.

Wii VC Nets Two More Genesis Classics

Sega announced today that two more Sega Genesis classics, Golden Axe and Ecco the Dolphin, are now available for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console. Each title retails for 800 Wii Points ($8).

In Golden Axe, players choose either a powerful warrior, an amazon, or a tough-nosed dwarf and fight it out with the evil Death Adder's forces. Players can attack with weapons and magic, and also use mounts.

Ecco the Dolphin takes a more leisurely approach, allowing players to explore the ocean while trying to find his missing friends. Sonar can be used to gain valuable information from other creatures, although as a dolphin players must remember to surface for air to survive. Ecco also features one of the best soundtracks of the 16-bit era.

These new titles join previously released Genesis titles Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beast, giving the system one of the best Virtual Console lineups thus far on the Wii.

Hey, Answerman!

Hey answerman - i've been an anime fan for like 10 years now, and i started out in the mid-90's with stuff like ninja scroll and akira and all that super-violent stuff like Fist of the North Star. Back then i loved all that stuff, and now a decade later i find i don't really like the super-violent stuff anymoere. I mean, I still like some of it, but nowadays I watch more drama and stuff I don't think I would have liked in 1996. is this a common thing for anime fans? My taste has changed almost completely!

Yeah, actually, I think it is really common.

I've been an anime fan since around '96-'97 like you, and when I started out, there was nothing in the world that was better to me than Tenchi Muyo.

Yeah, believe it or not, I thought Tenchi was the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond recently shot into the spotlight at Microsoft's X06 event where she received a bigger round of applause than Peter Moore - and that's before she even had a chance to say anything! Having previously worked on The Sims Online for EA, she now heads up the core team responsible for the Prince of Persia series. Assassin's Creed is an extraordinarily good-looking game where you take on the role of a medieval hitman during the Crusades. It promises to be far more thoughtful and inventive than anything we've seen before in an action game. .

White House to resist study group

THE White House is resisting efforts by an advisory commission on Iraq strategy to force the pace on troop withdrawals and negotiations with Iran and Syria. At the Pentagon, the joint chiefs of staff are also determined not to be pushed into "managing defeat" after the Iraq Study Group, led by James Baker, the former secretary of state, and former Democrat congressman Lee Hamilton, reports this week.

A backlash from the Right against the long-awaited report is gathering force. The neo-conservative journal, The Weekly Standard, has derided the Baker group's work as "a fancy way of justifying surrender". A photo-shoot last week of the co-chairmen by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz for Men's Vogue magazine, when the group was supposed to be hammering out its conclusions, has been greeted with much amusement.
