Forza 2 delayed until June with others

In an interview with MTV, Xbox boss Peter Moore has confirmed that Forza Motorsport 2, Shadowrun, Too Human and the excellent-looking Crackdown have all been delayed until June 2007. He also commented that having played a recent build of Halo 3, he thinks that it is "everything people would expect to see in a next-generation version of Halo."

The delay to Forza 2 will come as a shock to most, given that it was originally due for release towards the end of this year, then delayed until early in 2007.

Grand Theft Bicycle

Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto III is the Star Wars (Episode IV) of video games. GTA has spawned numerous sequels and brazen imitators like Saints Row and the forthcoming Crackdown, creating a new genre of "sandbox" gamesa name that reflects their strengths and limitations.

The sandboxes contain vast, wide-open landscapes with few constraints, where the kid (or mass murderer) in you can get lost for hours; they are also plagued by choppy graphics and sloppy gameplay. But the style and sophistication of Bully, Rockstar's latest, proves that it's possible to think, yes, outside the sandbox. 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins has been expelled from several schools, his mother just got married for the fifth time, and he has recently been dumped off at the worst prep school in America: Bullworth Academy.

Students paint town red, cover story of a lifetime

With a city full of journalists, photographers, and professional baseball players, there couldn't have been a more exciting experience for budding journalists.

"Well I heard the National anthem on a big screen TV in a restaurant and when it stopped, the crowd roared, and I turned around and could hear the crowd roaring from Busch Stadium a block away and it struck me that that was an example of the lesson of proximity in journalism," James Kershner, a speaker from Cape Cod Community College, said. "Here I am at a journalism convention and I realize that I am very, very close to a big story and the closer you are, the bigger the story is."

As a staff, it was work by day, attending sessions and learning new techniques and reporting by night, recording history with the roaring fans that piled around and being on top of each other outside Busch Stadium.

Do We Still 'Love This Game'?

Sporting an official slogan that boldly declares, "We Love This Game!" the National Basketball Association (NBA) has a lot to live up to. While the league apparently presumes its fans' undying affection for the sport, the question remains, do "we" still love the game?

Official turnout numbers answer in the affirmative. By most measures, the 2005-06 season was a rousing success. The league finished the regular season with the highest average attendance in history, as well as the highest total attendance. Overall, NBA arenas were filled to 91.4 percent capacity.

MTV Cuts Mass Effect Feature

Microsoft has been at the forefront of promoting new Xbox 360 titles and showcasing their goods wherever they can. However, due to time constraints MTV had to pull a scheduled airing of Mass Effect on the G-Hole. Microsoft, saddened at the turn of events, offered an apology to the gaming community. Seriously.

MTVs Gamer Week 2.0 was supposed to run a special feature on the exclusive game on the Xbox 360, although scheduling just didnt work in Mass Effects favor. Developed by Bioware and supposedly featuring 1000's of places to visit in outer space, the game has story-heavy elements that rely on a new interactive system for players to utilize. I dont know the technical details, yet.

Nonetheless, the gameplay footage video of Mass Effect will be available online at Games.MTV.com, following the premiere of The G-Hole at 8 p.m.

Keeping your cat off the streets

Most of them probably roam no farther than a few houses from their own address. However, every year at our veterinary practice, we see a number of cats with no identification on them.

Who knows how far they have roamed from home or why they became lost in the first place? The bigger question is why those cats didnt have some form of ID on them. This is something all cat-lovers should be sure to take care of.

Some people may intentionally choose not to put a collar on their cat. Some just get tired of replacing the ones their cats keep slipping off; other people are convinced their roaming kitties will get caught on a tree branch by their collars and hang themselves.

Both groups are taking chances with their cats lives. Cat collars are inexpensive insurance against loss.
