01:04 EXIT for XBLA (0)

No, the Xbox Live Arcade is not leaving us, but a new game is joining. Originally released on the PSP, EXIT is making the jump across so that Arcade fans get a slice of the action. The game sounds perfect for the XBLA, however according to grumblings from the PSP players, controls are an issue.

The game premise is simple. You play as Mr. ESC (you just couldn't make it up) and as a professional escapologist (still not making it up), it is your job to escape from hospitals, offices and other such scenarios. Along the way though you will encounter objects or natural causes that stand in your way. Fire and earthquakes are two such disasters that will hinder your progress. Also along the way will be individuals that need saving before you finish the level; you can't complete said level until all are safe.

Taito Reveals Xbox Live Arcade Exit

According to Japanese video game magazine Famitsu, Taito is to release Exit on Xbox Live Arcade this summer. A bit of a cult hit for the PSP, Exit sees players taking control of Mr. ESC who must attempt to help people escape from dangerous situations. The Xbox Live Arcade game will include all new stages which will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. The 2D perspective made the game a good looker on the PSP so expect a pleasant improvement when the game takes a leap into high definition. Famitsu says the game will be released in Japan this summer priced 800 Microsoft Points. ThereÂ’s currently no word on a Western release.

Exit Heading to XBLA

The action-puzzler Exit is making the jump from the PlayStation Portable to Xbox Live Arcade, following in the footsteps of Lumines and Puzzle Quest.

Ubisoft and Taito's 2D game will be available only in Japan this summer for 800 Microsoft points. There is no word yet on a possible North American/European release.

Exit, released last year for PSP, casts players as Mr. ESC, an "escapologist". Players have to guide hapless disaster victims out of dangerous situations in a sort of platformer, art deco version of Lemmings.

The XBLA version of Exit will have additional content, but there is no word yet on what this content exactly is. Hopefully it won't be the horrendous price-gouging that Lumines Live is infamous for.

Boulder Dash rocks PSP and DS

80s classic Boulder Dash is making a return to the videogame world in Boulder Dash- Rocks!, which is heading to PSP and DS at the end of the year.A collaboration between 10Tacle Studios and First Star Software, Rocks! is an action-puzzle game that challenges players with collecting a set amount diamonds while avoiding falling objects, traps and besting enemies in order to open and discover the exit, before time runs out. Not too dissimilar from the original, then. Helping you out are the likes of bombs and laser guns that can take numerous ammo types which can be used to freeze enemies, blow up boulders and drag diamonds and other distant objects towards you. Each version of Boulder Dash- Rocks! features five modes of play - including multiplayer - one of these five modes being exclusive to each platform.
