PS3 Bleeding More Exclusives

At this early point in the console race, it's the exclusives that help differentiate the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, but the last few weeks have not been kind to Sony's console, which is shedding exclusives regularly.

Adding to the pile are two more games from Japanese publisher Koei: antigravity racer Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War, which recounts the historic confrontation between France and England. The company announced on Wednesday that both games would also be coming to the PlayStation 3 as well as the Xbox 360 in March 2007. P L E A S E V I S I T O U R S P O N S O R :
Sony initially had several exclusive games lined up for its console. A recent report suggested the company could have had more if PlayStation boss Ken Kutaragi hadn't been slow to respond to publishers who were looking to sign exclusive deals.

nabs former PS3 exclusives

Having used their vast resources and slow decision making at Sony to snatch former PS3 exclusives Assassin's Creed and GTA IV for the Xbox 360, Microsoft has today also landed Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War. The Koei titles were, as with the previous titles, originally envisaged as PS3 only games, but will now be released on the Xbox 360 as well as Sony's next-gen platform.

Fatal Inertia is being created by Koei Canada under the watchful eye of Dynasty Warriors creator Takazumi Tomoike. An octane-fueled mix of racing and demolition derby is promised. Bladestorm meanwhile is set in 14th century Europe, offering real-time strategy as you take charge of a mercenary leader. The games will be out alongside the PS3 in Europe (hopefully next March), though it is presently unclear when they will reach the 360.

Iraq heroes sacrificed selves to save others

Since the Civil War, 3,461 men and one woman have received the medal, awarded for bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Before the war in Iraq, the award was last bestowed for bravery during the 1993 battle of Mogadishu in Somalia.

President Bush said Nov. 10 that Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham of Scio, N.Y., will receive the Medal of Honor, becoming the second person honored with the award for service in Iraq and the first Marine honoree since the Vietnam War. The only other recipient from the Iraq war is Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul Ray Smith, 33, who died in battle at the Baghdad airport in April 2003. Smith was from the Tampa, Fla., area.

Dunham was a 22-year-old corporal in April 2004 when he received a report that a Marine convoy had been ambushed, according to a Marine Corps account.

12:01 Two KOEI PS3 exclusive announced for 360 (1)

IGN reports that Japanese software house KOEI is bringing two of their PS3 exclusive games to the Xbox 360. Their futuristic race game Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm, a Dynasty Warriors clone set in middleage Europe are both coming to the Xbox 360 during Spring 2007.

PS3 Loses Two Exclusives, 360 Snags Koei Titles

Well, Mike called it. As of the Tokyo Game Show, both Koei titles Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War were PS3 exclusives. But the games ran into probs and were delayed, with the futuristic SIXAXIS-tilt-controlled racer Fatal Inertia missing the PS3 launch.

The games are exclusives no more. Microsoft Japan rattled the rusty ol' Kotaku mailbox, sending word that both games will make their way onto the Xbox 360 next year with Fatal Inertia taking advantage of the system's Xbox Live service. Boy, Sony's having crummy luck with keeping those exclusives. Better hang on to Metal Gear Solid 4 and TIGHT. Brian Ashcraft

PS3 'exclusives' will appear on Xbox 360

Koie Ltd previously announced that Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Year's War would be exclusive to the PS3. Today, the developer announced that both of the titles will also be developed for the Xbox 360. About FATAL INERTIA It is the 22nd century, and mankind has developed an evolutionary sport mixing high-performance street racing, rally, and demolition derby. In this brave new world of racing, gravity-defying machines tear across pristine natural environments where the beauty of nature masks the perils that wait. FATAL INERTIA boasts fast-paced single and multiplayer racing experiences with unique game dynamics and controls. Race crafts hover meters above the earth, but travel at a higher velocity as they edge closer to the ground. With racers drifting around glacial walls and hurtling alongside sheer cliffs, the games courses are an awe-inspiring amphitheatre for combat racing.

Xbox 360 move for Koei games

'Fatal Inertia' and 'Bladestorm: The Hundred Year War', originally announced as Playstation 3 exclusives, will be released by Koei on the Xbox 360 in March 2007. This move shows a gaming future with little in the way of platform exclusivity.

'BladeStorm: The Hundred Years War' will take players back in history , where the fourteenth century conflicts between the English and the French will meet twenty-first century gameplay. Players take part in various battles and will meet a number of historical figures, such as Joan of Arc and the Black Prince. For those to whom the future is more appealing 'Fatal Inertia' may be more appropriate. Weapons and vehicles that take on the laws of physics characterise this exhilarating racer.

"With exhilarating visual and audio performance, unprecedented online connectivity, and sheer computing power, the next generation is a springboard to creating genuinely exciting entertainment experiences," said Mr.
