Halo 2 PC Trailer by Microsoft

Microsoft has sent over a trailer of the forthcoming PC version of Halo 2. The video shows a little bit of gameplay as well as hints about the story. Check out the video:

Halo 2 will be one of the first games that will give gamers the first taste of Games for Windows Live. Xbox 360 gamers and PC gamers can play against each other using the online service. However, the Vista version is expected to have new content like new multiplayer Map Editor as well as exciting single-player gameplay. Halo 2 is the sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved.

But the PC version of Halo 2 has been delayed and is expected to be out by May 23. 2007.

[Xbox 360] Official Halo 3 Release Date Revealed

According to Bungie's official website, bungie.net, Halo 3 will be shipping to North America on Tuesday, September 25 and the rest of the world on the following day, September 26. Below is the official notice from Bungie. We said Fall 2007, but did you expect Halo 3's release date to be just two days into the Fall? On September 25, 2007 (just two days after the Autumnal Equinox), players will be able to finish the fight they started in Halo: Combat Evolved and continued in Halo 2. Vs. Mode: Newsweek And MTV News Argue Over 'Halo 3' (Round 2)

As usual, you've made some terrific points and posed some excellent questions. And as usual, I'm not going to answer them. Not right away, at least. Instead, I'm going to call you out. Because as terrific as your points and as excellent as your questions may be, I feel as though you're ducking the elephant in the room (our mutual avoidance of online multiplayer gaming) and covering it up (with useful analogies about what "Halo" multiplayer may or may not be). We're both newbs here, dammit, and we should fully engage the experience of that newbitude (yes, I'm bringing back my neologism grenades for this Vs. Mode sequel) rather than simply draw parallels between "Halo 3" multiplayer and single player games, sports and television shows.

The reason I spent an entire post clearing my throat was to explain to our readers Why I Don't Play "Halo" (Or Any Other Online Multiplayer Games, For That Matter.) Having done that, I promised them that I would jump in, and having done so, here is my report from the front lines.

First of all I must confess I am one of the fans of this almost 10 years old game but I will try to be as objective as humanly possible.

The History A look at the history behind the game is needed before attempting to analyze the current events. Blizzard's first Real Time Strategy (RTS) game was Warcraft, a game developed in a fantastic Universe where two different species, Orcs and Humans were fighting for the land of Azeroth. Soon after its release Blizzard started working on another RTS based on the same engine: Starcraft. However things weren't going in the right direction and people were thinking it was too similar to its predecessor, therefore naming it Orcs and Humans in space.
