Extended game experience: Includes a wealth of new spells and abilities, 5 new single-player maps, 10 new multiplayer maps, new buildings, new artifacts, and new neutral creatures, Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate gives players the tools to develop new tactics and further their game experience both online and offline.

The Tuesday Shipping Fest

The holidays are on their way,and so game publishers are shipping games out faster than anyone can imagine. If you count our earlier news item about Sonic shipping, you'll have six new games headed to stores today. Take a look.

Warhammer: Battle for Atluma: It's hard to imagine that Namco's shipping this Warhammer electronic collectible card game for PSP, so close to shipping Mark of Chaos for PC. Nobody even knew about this game until about two weeks ago, and by looking at the older screens (dig up our old news item in our fancy new search) - we can see why.

Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate: An expansion for the patch-fest that was Heroes of Might and Magic V RTS. New factions, new campaign, new missions...you've heard it all. But really, do we need an expansion so close to when the full game shipped? Is this Nival and UbiSoft's version of the Xbox Live Marketplace style of game publishing? Just on the PC?

Monster Bomber - Oh look, another puzzle/bubble popping title for DS, but this time, you fling bombs at monsters.

Myth War Online's Pet Encyclopedia now online

IGG has just announced the Myth War Online Pet Encyclopedia where, as the product's name suggests, you can get a primer on anything and everything related to your in-game pets.

The tail-and-fur-donning fellas never had it this good, as the encyclopedia is brimming with pet features, training tips, info on their skill sets, and much much more. Far from suffering the same fate that the MU Online pets faced, the creatures in Myth War Online are having a whole webpage dedicated entirely to them.

Just in case it has slipped your knowledge, there are currently six different species of pets in Myth War Online, each having distinct characteristics and set of skills. What's even more interesting is that the Myth War pets can level up faster than their masters. Kinda makes you think who really plays the master, eh? From this alone you guys can probably sense already that the pets in Myth War are indispensable and more complex than your good old Lassie.

Cliff dives just don't match slo-mo crashes

When the Xbox 360 came out last year, two of the three best launch titles had gamers behind the wheel of a speeding automobile. Project Gotham Racing 3 featured better visuals than any other game at the time, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted represented an adrenaline-pounding peak for the reliable franchise.

Need for Speed: Carbon is solid, but it's a small disappointment for gamers who were hoping for a showcase driving title for the PS3. The cars handle well and the online options are plentiful, but there isn't a lot of new or exciting content in the game.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted was perfect escapist entertainment, bringing the series to new levels of lawlessness. Along with driving mechanics in the game that were excellent, almost every challenge featured a "Blues Brothers"-style police chase.
