Jackass to painfully become a video game this September The Hollywood Reporter has some of the first details on the Jackass crew's first foray into video games. Not surprisingly titled Jackass: The Game, the show's extreme stupidity will be turned into a game for the DS, PSP and PS2. Publisher Red Mile Entertainment and developer Sidhe Interactive expect it in stores on September 24. Original dialogue will be supplied by the Jackass guys, along with their images and brainpower. Knoxville has said he's working closely with the development team to create stunts they wanted to do on the show but never did. The game will include 35 stunts including things like "bumper car races across New York rooftops, unicycling though a construction site, rolling down San Francisco streets in a trash can and destroying a golf course with a golf cart." And if any of these stunts ends badly (and you know they will), there's always the "Bail-Out" option. Five months after McMike posted the gallery for Jackass the Game, Red Mile Entertainment has finally officially announced that the game will be coming to the PS2, the PSP, and the Nintendo DS this Fall. 35 scenarios have been revealed including dodging traffic on the streets of San Francisco while rolling around in a garbage can, and doing a little golf cart Burnout-style damage in a Country Club. The whole crew will be there except for for maybe Bam who supposedly didn't make it off the cutting room floor. It looks funny, but isn't this being released too late in the game? Rejuvenated Empire signs Jackass deal The news is the first major announcement from the Finchley-based publisher since its acquisition by NASDAQ-listed technology firm Silverstar late last year.
