Jackass to painfully become a video game this September

The Hollywood Reporter has some of the first details on the Jackass crew's first foray into video games. Not surprisingly titled Jackass: The Game, the show's extreme stupidity will be turned into a game for the DS, PSP and PS2. Publisher Red Mile Entertainment and developer Sidhe Interactive expect it in stores on September 24. Original dialogue will be supplied by the Jackass guys, along with their images and brainpower. Knoxville has said he's working closely with the development team to create stunts they wanted to do on the show but never did. The game will include 35 stunts including things like "bumper car races across New York rooftops, unicycling though a construction site, rolling down San Francisco streets in a trash can and destroying a golf course with a golf cart." And if any of these stunts ends badly (and you know they will), there's always the "Bail-Out" option.

Jackass Officially Announced

Five months after McMike posted the gallery for Jackass the Game, Red Mile Entertainment has finally officially announced that the game will be coming to the PS2, the PSP, and the Nintendo DS this Fall. 35 scenarios have been revealed including dodging traffic on the streets of San Francisco while rolling around in a garbage can, and doing a little golf cart Burnout-style damage in a Country Club. The whole crew will be there except for for maybe Bam who supposedly didn't make it off the cutting room floor.

It looks funny, but isn't this being released too late in the game? Jackass isn't even airing new episodes anymore and there are definitely more pressing matters to address. Where's my Die Hard 4 video game announcement? I needs to get my play on with some Timothy Olyphant.

Rejuvenated Empire signs Jackass deal

The news is the first major announcement from the Finchley-based publisher since its acquisition by NASDAQ-listed technology firm Silverstar late last year. And it marks the end of what has been a difficult – and quiet – period for Empire in recent times.Developed by New Zealand studio Sidhe, the Jackass game is set for release as a full price title this September on PS2 and PSP, with other versions expected to be announced soon. The arrival of the game will coincide with a new Jackass DVD, plus a series of events planned by MTV Europe, giving Empire good crossover promotional opportunities."We’re really pleased with the deal; it shows that we’re very much back in business," Empire CEO Ian Higgins told MCV. "The genesis of the deal was two of our new directors – Joe Abrams and Geoff Heath – talking to the US publisher and developer.

Knoxville and Pals to Star in Jackass Game

Hard not to have seen this one coming, but following their rampant success on TV and in the movies, Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass crew are taking a shot at their very own video game. Bam Margera has already been in a few Tony Hawk titles, of course, but this time around, it'll be all Jackass, with the entire gang providing their voices and likenesses to the game, which will be available for the PS2, PSP, and DS.

The point of the game is for the player to create their own Jackass episodes by combining an number of stunts, which are set up like minigames. There are 35 different stunts to choose from, including unicycling through a construction site and rolling through the streets of San Francisco in a trash can. - Free Online Gamesfree online games, to play to play, free games for your website, flash games, java games, shockwave games.
