Viva La Karaoke Revolution

I am pretty sure I have already made it clear that I am a gigantic dork so this latest admission will be more fuel for the fire. After suppressing my urges for several weeks, I finally picked up the American Idol version of Karaoke Revolution at the mall over the weekend, along with a microphone to plug into my PS2.

The rest of the weekend? I spent belting out "Heartbreaker," "Alone" and "Breakaway" every chance I got. That and unlocking new outfits for my character to wear. I had heard of the earlier versions of this game several years ago, but I never knew anyone who had it so I kind of forgot about it. This one means you can not only sing some of the AI fave songs, but have Randy and Simon "judge" you too. (For some reason, Paula did not participate so they have a generic female judge named Laura instead.)

You sing into a USB mic, following along with the lyrics and "note tubes" (which indicate pitch and duration without needing to read music).
