The PS3's installment offers up some interesting new gameplay options but, for the most part, there's not a lot that's different about Ridge Racer 7. That's good for some, not so much for others. Since its inception, Ridge Racer has been all about arcade racing. This is most certainly not a sim, so all you Gran Turismo fans can look somewhere else for inspiration. The name of the game here is drifting and boosting, zooming across a variety of cityscapes and countrysides with a first place finish in mind. This mechanic returns in Ridge Racer 7. In fact, other than one notable addition on the control side of things, the gameplay is almost identical to last year's Ridge Racer 6. ENTER THE VIRTUAL BATTLEFIELD IN UPCOMING TOURNAMENT AT GAMEFORCE GameForce in Kingwood Town Center will be hosting a Battlefield 2 tournament on the weekend of December 9th in conjunction with the Rebels of Mankind squad. Battlefield 2 is set in the hypothetical modern-day war between the United States, China and a Middle Eastern Coalition. Players begin the game as a soldier for one of the three opposing forces, but are able to commandeer numerous vehicles including jets and helicopters. They can also be promoted to the position of commander by their fellow team mates which allows them to map enemy positions and call in artillery strikes and supply drops. The game monitors the progress of a player, awarding medals and promotions as necessary which allow the players to unlock new weaponry.
The tournament will be a five person team game, which will limit players to infantry combat only.
Pac-Man v Morales III delivers numbers The memorable thrill-ogy between super-featherweight warriors Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales climaxed with over 350,000 pay-per-view buys generating over £17.5 million in revenue, HBO has announced.
