Grand Theft Auto IV trailer parody: Grand Theft Shaman IV

What happens when you mix Blizzard's World of Warcraft with Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV? Well, apparently you get Grand Theft Shaman IV. This spoof of the GTA IV trailer is hilarious. I mean, they've decided to cast Niko as a Draenei Shaman, tentacles and all.

The video is pretty well made, and the choice of shots were pretty good. They even copied the train scenes and the walk taken by Niko across the bridge. It would have been better if they added in some "in-game footage" to spice it up but the parody sticks very closely to its source material. Before watching the video be sure to check out the GTA IV trailer in the full article so you don't miss the nuances of the parody.

Anyway, enough chit-chat. Here is the video of Grand Theft Shaman. If you want to compare both vids, you can check out the full article.

PSP UK Sales Rise 60%

For a while there, the PSP appeared to be in dire straits. But recently, all we've been hearing about is how much more popular Sony's portable has become. This here is more evidence of that, as Sony is reporting that since dropping the price of the little system by 20 in the UK (that was May 4), they've seen a 60% increase in sales. Amazing what a little price drop can do for you, isn't it?

The basic pack currently sits at 130, and Play.com and Amazon are listing it for 10 less, so it's no real surprise to see an increase in sales.

"The price realignment was about passing on manufacturing cost savings to customers. This new price point opens up a new wave of consumers to the PSP experience," said Sony's sales director Andrew Howsen, speaking to MCV.

Some of the bigger games have already released for the PSP (Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Burnout Dominator, and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters come to mind), and even more are on the way for 2007, so hopefully, sales will continue to increase.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii ...

For a while rumors have been circulating that LucasArts would be releasing another Lego Star Wars game that packaged the two trilogies together into a collection. Finally these very rumors have been confirmed with a release planned for Autumn 2007.

The game will be called Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. The game will feature the Trade Federation's negotiations" with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace as well as the space battle above Endor in Return of the Jedi.

It has been confirmed that Lego Star Wars: The Complete Trilogy will release on all three next-generation platforms- the Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii game consoles.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are said to include online multiplayer modes such as co-operative modes and drop-in/drop-out gameplay, while Wii owners can look forward to a new Wii-enhanced control scheme.

Interview Drops More WipeOut Pulse Details

The WipeOut series is about ready to speed onto the PSP, and will eventually find its way to the PS3 as well. Thanks to a recent interview over at Eurogamer, we've got some more details concerning the PSP installment, WipeOut Pulse.

They're talking all about improved controls (we thought the control in these games was pretty damn good to begin with, but whatever), alternative track designs, downloading our own MP3s for new music, and even a sweet "create-a-campaign" mode! The interview also touches on the fact that the Disruptor weapon (featured in the PS1's WipeOut XL) has been discarded, but it's being replaced by several new weapons. We don't have the names for them just yet, but we've heard that one can mess with your HUD...we're not sure if that would be useless or uber-frustrating.
