Capcom to release Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Demo on Xbox 360 ...

Capcom sends word that the really cool looking Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will be headed to the Xbox 360 Live Marketplace as a demo on November 23rd.Capcom today announced plans to release the highly anticipated multiplayer demo for its arctic sci-fi action shooter, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, on November 23.The multiplayer demo will be available for free download from Xbox Live Marketplace and lets gamers participate in heated online matches in the "Pirate Fortress" stage with support for up to 16 players via the Xbox Live online game service. Players will be able to select from multiple weapons, unique robotic assault vehicles called "Vital Suits" and four play modes, including Elimination, Team Elimination, Post Grab and Fugitive.

Following the storm of controversy from disgruntled SD TV owners that followed the ineligible text in Capcom's Dead Rising, the Japanese publisher today promised to rectify the situation in its forthcoming Xbox 360 title, Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions.After the recent release of the multiplayer demo, it had seemed as though Capcom were making the same mistake, with many complaints that scores in the 'Elimination' game type were too hard to read.However it seems Capcom are listening to the criticisms of 360 owners with an update that boosts the size of text in the multiplayer mode if you're not playing on a HD screen - as you can see from the accompanying screens.

Because of the numerous protests from the Xbox Live community about Lost Planet: Extreme Condition game texts in the multiplayer demo on "standard definition" TVs, Capcom has decided to fix the issue: depending on the type of television set (SD or HD) you're using, Lost Planet will adapt its text using bigger or smaller characters (see the image on the right).

Eventually, we would like to inform you that Capcom has announced, just before Lost Planet: Extreme Condition release (12th January 2007), the development of a sequel of the game, that will include some features Capcom has not been able insert in the first game, such as flying mechs.

Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that its arctic sci-fi action shooter, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition just got even cooler, with a Collector's Edition that will be available in stores simultaneously with the standard edition. Packaged in a custom designed SteelBook case featuring exclusive cover art , this premium set will include the game, art book with exclusive concept art and a heap of multimedia content. As a special bonus, gamers that purchase the Collector's Edition will have exclusive access to an additional multiplayer map for several months before it is made available as a free download on Xbox Live Marketplace, in summer 2007.

Exclusively available for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the standard edition will carry a suggested retail price of $59.99 and the limited Collector's Edition will be available for $69.99, while supplies last.

Capcom(R) today announced plans to release the highly anticipated multiplayer demo for its arctic sci-fi action shooter, Lost Planet(TM): Extreme Condition for Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, on November 23. In support of the demo, Capcom has planned a blockbuster campaign which kicks off with a cinematic trailer that will land in theaters nationwide beginning on November 17. The highly-charged 60-second spot concludes by spreading the message that the multiplayer demo will be available for free download on Xbox Live(R) Marketplace on November 23, Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. Additionally, November 24 will be deemed "White Friday," as retailers launch a special preorder program that rewards advanced purchasers with access to a special version of the demo that will contain an additional multiplayer map.

Microsoft will be releasing the multiplayer demo of one of the most highly awaited games, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, on November 23. The demo will be available on Xbox Live and on the next day, being termed as "White Friday", retailers will start to accept advance orders for the game. Up to 16 players can play the multiplayer demo at a time on Xbox Live.

EA Ships Superman Returns: The Videogame
