And so EA presents us with Medal of Honor Vanguard for Wii. The title represents Electronic Arts' first foray into providing Wii owners with a definitive WWII shooter experience. The only problem is, except for some clunky usage of the Wii Remote's motion sensing and pointer capabilities, you've probably already played this game in the form of previous Medal of Honors, Call of Duty titles, Brother in Arms games, etc. One day developers will realize that Wii is capable of much more graphical panache than a PS2. Until that happens, Wii owners will get titles that look like Vanguard. Nothing here really screams next-generation here, save for some sweet looking particle effects when a grenade explodes and the muzzle flash from your gun temporarily brightening your surroundings. Five arraigned in probe of retail fraud ring DEARBORN -- Five people were arraigned today on charges of receiving and possessing stolen items such as big screen televisions and PS2 game systems, following a seven-month investigation into a major retail fraud ring at several Metro Detroit businesses. Dearborn police Wednesday executed search warrants and arrested five men at several businesses in Dearborn, Center Line, Detroit, and at homes in Farmington Hills and Southfield. Police seized several items, including large-screen televisions, more than 35,000 DVD's, 1,200 cell phone accessories, two handguns, three cars and $17,000 in cash. Ednan Samona, Sawsan Najeeb Haji and Danny Najeeb Haji were each charged with four felonies, including conducting a criminal enterprise and receiving and concealing stolen property.
