CrunchArcade: Puzzles on the Portables

Big things do indeed come in small packages, and this is notably true of the some of the latest puzzle games for the Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable. These offerings might not be overly complex, but don't call them simplistic. They're the types of games that are easy to learn, hard to master and even harder to put down. More importantly puzzle games are also the kind that are instant hits or misses. For every “Snake" or “Bust-A-Move" there are dozens of forgettable titles. These quick pick up and play games should the kind you don't want to ever put down. And finally these should be the type of game where you can jump in and play, without needing to ask what you're suppose to do. This week CrunchArcade looks the games you can get in and play just about anywhere, and we'll tell whether they're even worth picking it up.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution rolls onto Wii in June

Ignition Entertainment has announced that Mercury Meltdown Revolution for Wii will be released across Europe on June 8. Based on PSP and PlayStation 2 games, Mercury Meltdown Revolution will feature 150+ levels through which blobs of mercury must be safely guided.

Although tilting has been the at the core of the series since its conception, the Wii version will be the first time players can control the in-game action by tilting the game controller.

We're also promised 480p visuals which have been improved thanks to some advanced rendering techniques possible on the Wii.


Mercury Meltdown Revolution gets releasedate

It's very possible that a lot of you have never heard of Mercury; a game where you have to lead a fluid metal blob through a maze while being aware of the many dangers. The game has already been released on PSP and PS2, but Mercury Meltdown Revolution is also planned for Wii. Today we can tell you the precise releasdate of the game; 8th June!
