Do We Still 'Love This Game'?

Sporting an official slogan that boldly declares, "We Love This Game!" the National Basketball Association (NBA) has a lot to live up to. While the league apparently presumes its fans' undying affection for the sport, the question remains, do "we" still love the game?

Official turnout numbers answer in the affirmative. By most measures, the 2005-06 season was a rousing success. The league finished the regular season with the highest average attendance in history, as well as the highest total attendance. Overall, NBA arenas were filled to 91.4 percent capacity.

Xbox 360 Review: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07

Tiger's first round on the Xbox 360 did not turn out well. It had only six courses, scant modes to play, and broken online multiplayer.EA's mea culpa, thankfully, comes this year with Tiger Woods 07. Not only does the Xbox 360 version offer unique game play mechanics, and a new presentation, but the online play works (after a slight hiccup).Doubling the amount of courses (to 12) is a major improvement, but this is a far cry from the 21 found on the Xbox version. The six new courses look great, and are fun to play, though (Tiger has always been a fun game, no matter the shortcomings).New in 07 are Firestone Country Club, Glen Abby, Prince Course, Spyglass Hill, Bandon Dunes, and St. Andrews. Hopefully, next year we will see some of the fantasy courses, like the Central Park course new in the PSP and Xbox versions of Tiger 07.But the first thing you notice, beyond the gorgeous looking courses (they are a step above last year's game), is the major work put into the presentation.

NBA Live 07 Rocking the Cell

I've yet to play a mobile game that is even a shadow of it's console self. So I don't have high hopes for NBA Live 07, or at least the mobile version of the game.

It's going to feature Marv Albert doing play-by-play, a season mode, hundreds of animations and no chance of interesting me.

Sadist mobile gamers should hit the jump. Brian Crecente

MEN'S BASKETBALL TO FACE ILLINOIS STATE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ...

Winners of three of the last four games, including a 23-point victory (100-77) over crosstown rival UC Davis on Saturday, the Sacramento State mens basketball squad (4-3) returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 29, for its first-ever meeting with Illinois State. Tipoff at Redbird Arena is 5:05 p.m. PST. The game will mark the first of a seven-game stretch that will see the Hornets play just once at home. In fact, the team plays only one home game during the entire month of December (Dec. 6 vs. Pacific).

Not only has Sacramento State never played Illinois State during the 59-year history of the program, the Hornets have not played in the state of Illinois since a 73-58 loss at Northern Illinois during the 1998-99 season. Sacramento State is 1-2 away from home this year, including its most lopsided road win in 17 years 74-53 victory at Denver.
