Pirates! Bound for PSP

2K announced today a version of Sid Meier's Priates! for the PSP. Developed by Firaxis Games, Pirates! is a strategy/adventure game where players assume the role of a 17th century Pirate Captain in the Caribbean, looting and pillaging in an attempt to become one of the most feared and revered pirates in history.

Players will explore the high seas, dueling on both land and water within a fully 3D environment. Additional features for the PSP game include wireless Ad-Hoc multiplayer for up to four players, widescreen display, new treasure hunts, and more.

Sid Meier's Pirates! for the PSP system is expected to be in stores in January 2007.


New Supreme Commander patch out!

Stealth toggle now toggles both stealth and stealth field. This was causing stealth generator units to \"flicker\" when they were toggled off.

ACUs no longer selectable and usable during the beginning of the teleport effect.

Transport beacons can now be seen and can't be captured or reclaimed.


Tunguska v1.02 Patch

Fusionsphere Systems, the developer of the riveting PC adventure game, The Secret Files: Tunguska, has created an alternate ending to the game. Update 1.02 includes the following features: -An enhanced alternate game ending featuring a more dramatic finale and a character synopsis that will let players know the fate of all characters involved in the story. -New selection of stunning cut-scene cinematics accessible from the games Main Menu. Players can simply click on each of the thumbnail images to play each cinematic. -Resolves the necessity to update graphics drivers for in-game video playback. -Resolves in-game timing issues with dual core processors. Titan Quest expansion announced

THQ has an add-on to the excellent action-RPG Titan Quest lined up for early next year. The Immortal Throne expansion sees the action descend into the depths of Hades. We're told the expansion adds 12 hours of single-player content and new features such as skill mastery adn eight new playable character classes. Expect to see plenty of new monsters and weapons too.

SAA expands route network

JOHANNESBURG, December 01 -- South African Airways (SAA) is expanding its route network in Europe, North America, South America and Africa by adding new destinations to each of these continents, the airline said on Thursday.

These new route developments will grow SAA's international capacity by 8 percent.

"SAA's network strategy is to fly to friendly international gateways, taking advantage of our Star Alliance partners hubs", said Nomfanelo Magwentshu, SAA general manager for business development.

SAA will launch a third destination into North America. After terminating services to Atlanta in June 2006, the airline will begin four flights per week between Johannesburg and Chicago from 8 May 2007, it said.

Chicago is the largest hub of SAA's Star Alliance partner United Airlines and will offer seamless connections to 91 destinations in North America on its Star partners.
