PSP owners: Prepare for mind-bending puzzles with new Sudoku title

(CP) - In England, Carol Vorderman is a popular TV personality whose role as host of "Countdown" and other shows earns her three million pounds a year (C$6.6 million).

A member of MENSA and MBE (Member of the British Empire), Vorderman also authors Sudoku puzzle books and now has taken her expertise to the world of video games.

"Carol Vorderman's Sudoku" (rated E for Everyone for the PC, PlayStation 2, and PSP) is a terrific time-waster for both Sudoku novices and veterans. Perhaps best suited to the portable PSP, it boasts a million-plus puzzles, four difficulty levels and video tutorials.

Career mode offers eight levels, from white belt to master. You can also challenge Vorderman herself, trying to beat her time.

Developed by England's Atomic Planet Entertainment, Carol Vorderman's Sudoku offers an interface as simple as the game itself - with puzzles ranging from easy to mind-bending.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Review

May 23, 2007 - The first Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, or GRAW as most know it by, was pre-packaged in many Xbox 360 bundles for a reason. It was arguably the first "must have" title that would appeal to the masses, making leaps and bounds over the competition at the time of its release. GRAW saw both fame and fortune, making it a no-brainer for Ubisoft to green light a sequel. With that being said, GRAW 2 has been produced just in time for its predecessor's first birthday. The good news seems to be that GRAW 2 is just plain great. The bad news is that I think we should be offered a pizza delivery-type deal with it: "40 minutes of gameplay or it's free." The single player portion is just too short. A year ago when GRAW was released, it was viewed as a prime example of pushing the next-gen systems to their limits.

Consumers Still Like it GRAW

It must be fun being Tom Clancy. His name is consistently on some of the best selling games in the industry. It comes as no surprise that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is topping the charts like its predecessor. We speak with Ubisoft's Scott Sappenfield about the game's success, and he also confirms that the eventual PS3 version will make full use of the Sixaxis motion feature.

Lesson in Life: A freshman comes to terms with his demons

Had life gone according to plan, the biggest decision Ryan Ballou would be making this summer would be: Should he work the front gate at his local community pool, as he's done for the past couple of years, or try to find a higher-paying job?
