The arrival of Tomb Raider: Anniversary on PS2, PSP and PC is looming and we've got a new exclusive movie showing just how impressive the re-make is coming along.Latest footage shows Lara fighting her way out of tombs as she attempts to get her hands on a mysterious artefact. As ever, this looks every bit as promising as Tomb Raider: Legend. If you cant' wait until the June 1 launch, Eidos is prepping a playable PC demo of the game that's due to go live at 11pm GMT tonight. You'll be able to play a slice of Lara's adventure in Peru as the search begins for the mysterious artefact begins. You can find the demo right here from 11pm GMT. Tomb Raider: Anniversary Demo Today

A playable demo of Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be released today, allowing you to try out the latest game developed by Crystal Dynamics, the same company guilty for turning Lara into a legend. Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be available across Europe on June 1st, for PS2 and PC, with the PSP version to follow very shortly. .

Inspired by the original Tomb Raider video game; Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary faithfully preserves the elements which made the original Tomb Raider game such a classic.

Using an enhanced Tomb Raider: Legend game engine, the graphics, technology and physics bring Laras adventure and pursuit of a mystical artefact known only as the Scion right up to todays technology standards and will offer gamers a completely new gameplay experience.

Tomb Raider follows the adventures of Lara Croft after she is hired by a powerful syndicate to retrieve a mythical object called the Scion. After discovering that she has been used as a pawn in some larger scheme, Lara takes matters into her own hands deciding that she must uncover the mystery behind this ancient artefact.

Eidos Dates Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Hard as it is to believe, it's more than a decade since Lara Croft's adventuring hijinks made their debut on the PlayStation. This summer, Eidos will celebrate the history of the digital icon with a remake of her first game.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary retells the original story using the best of the tools the developers have built up over the past decade. "Our goal was to capture the essence of what made the original Tomb Raider game such an incredible adventure, and use this to create a brand new Tomb Raider game," says Sean Vesce, studio manager at Lara's new handler, Crystal Dynamics.
