American McGee's Grimm Rumored It seems that American McGees blog which you can find right here had a few words of his upcoming game, Grimm (thanks Blues). The post is now deleted as he wasn't supposed to divulge any details or the very existence of the game. One thing is still there though. If you click on the picture with the level designers from the newly redecorated Shanghai office and read the comment, you'll find out they were talking about Grimm when the picture was taken. It seems that Grimm is kind of a spiritual sequel to Alice, much like Bioshock for System Shock, but there are no more details on the project, so we'll just have to wait and see. . Award for Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Trailer Animation Brain Zoo Studios has announced the receipt of a platinum Aurora Award which was given to a promotional trailer for Sony Online Entertainment's (SOE) Untold Legends Dark Kingdom. The trailer, created by Brain Zoo, was recognized for "Best F/X: Entertainment". This award marks the fourth Aurora Award Brain Zoo has garnered for its F/X and Animation work. .
UK Video Game Chart: God of War II tops chart Sony is celebrating its second All Formats No.1 of the year with God of War II, which proved too strong for the likes of Codemasters' Lord of the Rings Online (No.2) and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (No.3 thanks to the PS3 release). It was a strong week for Sony's first party releases, with God of War II joined by Singstar: Pop Hits (No.6) and Buzz!: The Mega Quiz (No.16). Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar was released a little earlier than the rest (available from Tuesday) and becomes the second fastest selling online-only PC title, behind WoW: The Burning Crusade. Last week's No.1, Pokemon Ranger, falls to No.5, but it was another solid week for Nintendo with Wii Play at No.4, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 up to No.11 and Diddy Kong Racing DS at No.13. THE change of guard in Indias most important state, Uttar Pradesh, has always been a complex process, if only for the fact that alliances are made and broken, at an alarming pace there.
Mayawati, leader of the regions downtrodden masses, has managed to capture power in the state through a complex process, having created a rainbow coalition of clashing interests, her immediate purpose being to neutralise the strength of her bete noire, Mulayam Singh Yadav. The election results have reinforced the strength of regional satraps in Indian politics. Equally importantly, this has ended an era of coalition politics in the state, lifting Mayawatis Bahujan Samaj Party to a position of absolute majority in the house and putting her in saddle as the chief minister for the fourth time.
This is a major achievement.
