LocoRoco Creator Claims that: “Wii Remote and PS3 Sixaxis ...

The only difference between Wii and PlayStation 3 [control systems] is that the Wii uses a pointing device, whereas the Sixaxis has motion sensing. I'm actually sensing much more potential in the EyeToy camera, which could be used without holding any controller - [imagine if] you could just hold your hand up and pressing buttons by moving your finger. If with EyeToy they can recognise the left click of the mouse with just the move of a finger, that means any kind of PC games with left click [functionality] can be realised [on PS3]. There's a lot of potential there. I think it would be best if we could play using our hands, without even touching the controller. Well have more on LocoRoco 2 in the coming months. .

Sony's God of War II orgy - shocking

We haven't seen a really controversial Sony PR stunt since their ill-advised PSP adverts, in which a white woman loomed over a petrified-looking black girl, with the slogan, "PlayStation Portable White is coming." Before that, Sony had to apologise and subsequently withdraw an advertising campaign for the PlayStation, which featured a man wearing a crown of thorns with the slogan "Ten years of passion". Not to mention the PSP billboard ad that advised consumers at train stations to "Take a running jump from here". The shock tactics used by Sony in their advertising campaigns create a great deal of publicity. A quick apology, and it's all forgotten, then onto the next one. So, it was no surprise when we discovered that the company are at it again, this time in an effort to promote the PS2 version of God Of War II.

New Online PS3 Content Available

Sony may not be offering downloadable content for the PS3 at the Playstation Store on a regular basis like the Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii, but every once in a while they drop a few things off for gamers to pick up. Today, a variety of content has become available including original arcade games, trailers and the PSOne games that were previously promised with the 1.70 firmware update Gamers will now find a free demo and the full game ($6.99) of the much talked about Super Rub a Dub title at previous Sony press conferences. These cute little ducks have mostly been used as tech demonstrations for not only the PS3 but the PS2 as well. Now they have their very own game where you navigate ducks in tubs filled with water using the motion sensing capabilities of the SixAxis controller. The second Midway arcade classic from Sony Online Entertainment, Gauntlet II is also available.
